	Horizons Regional Council This is the trading name for the Manawatu-Wanganui Regional Council, responsible for managing the natural and physical resources of the region, including fresh air, clean water, productive land and natural eco-systems.
	NZ Local Government This comprehensive web site is a joint initiative of the Society of Local Government Managers (SOLGM) and the Association of Local Government Information Management (ALGIM) and features links to New Zealand's other local authorities.
	Palmerston North Community Arts Council A one-stop arts information shop where you can find out all you need to know about local Manawatu artists, peformers, events, and arts related activities.
	Citizens Advice Bureaux The bureau and branch contact details on this site are primarily for individuals needing assistance with a query or problem.
	Destination Manawatu Manawatu District Council proudly supports Destination Manawatu, which is contracted to promote the district to tourists and visitors. This useful link provides information for visitors to the region and a list of upcoming events.
	Foxton - Birthplace of the Manawatu Foxton and Foxton Beach are sister communities, situated on State Highway 1, 30 minutes from Palmerston North and 90 minutes north of the Capital City - Wellington. Choosing a lawyer

It's a good idea to choose a lawyer early so that if you need help you can call upon them immediately, they will also offer you good advice on what to ask for in a sales & purchase contract when you do find a property that you like

Your lawyers job is to protect you , explain your rights , do the legal paperwork and make sure everything is in order with the certificate of title and the council records .

Listen to your lawyer , but remember they have not viewed the property and firstly don't know how you feel about it and perhaps what is actually there .

Common problems occur around these things and you need to help your lawyer here, because again they have not viewed the property

1.You do need to check that all the chattels are on the contract that you ask for

2. And the council plans mirror what is actually on the ground ie things like  fireplace, conservatory
