Selling Suggestions

Now that you have found the right agent, it's time to decide on the selling method. As foolish as it would be to fit a round peg in a square hole, so it is a waste of time to sell a home with the wrong selling method. There are four methods to choose from:

  1. Exclusive Agency -    This option is recommended and gives you complete attention of your agent and attracts added bonus for the marketing of your property.
  2. Multi-listing - An agreement between your chosen agent and other multi-list agents who agree to work together to sell your property. The commission you pay is no higher than if you used a sole agent however an exclusive agency agreement is usually the best incentive for your agent to focus all their attention on finding buyers for your property.
  3. Auctions - TV shows like Location, Location Location have demonstrated what can happen when a property is well marketed. Talk to your Property Consultant to determine if this exciting method is most suited to your timeframe and to your property.
  4. Open Listing - Occurs when you list your property with several agentsin the areea. This method of sale includes handing out several keys for your home, plus several 'for sale' signs. Industry evidence and our own ersearch indicates this is a high risk, low return method of sale.
